JSTOR New Beta Search Interface

A beta version of a new JSTOR search interface and engine will be released in March. Beta Search will be presented in parallel with the existing search interfaces, and will be available for open testing over the next several months.  Beta Search is a completely new JSTOR search, providing an easier to use interface and a new search engine. A key goal of the new Beta Search is to provide better results for simple queries.

New features include a faceted interface for easily narrowing and broadening searches, improved relevance rankings, auto-suggested search terms, and enhanced display of search results. JSTOR welcomes your feedback on Beta Search and plans to refine the functionality and design during the testing period. Stay up to date on Beta Search developments at http://about.jstor.org/beta-search.
