Medical Library Christmas info

Photo of a snowmanLeaving early for Christmas?  Return your books before you go!

Library loans can be requested by other people up to and including 11th December, so remember to return your loans if you’re going away and will not be able to access them – make sure you check your e-mail to avoid starting the New Year with fines! Items recalled from 12th December onwards will not be due until January.

If you want to request items, make sure you do so by Tuesday 11th December.

Items may have been recalled over the vacation period – remember to check your email/library account before leaving for the holidays and at the re-start of term.

3-day-loan & 4 Week Loan items will be renewed up to 9 times where possible, so if your item is close to the renewal limit, return or reissue before you go.

24-hr loan and Heavy Demand items will continue to be due as normal and 3-day-loans can always be requested, even after 11th, so if you have any on loan please check your e-mail regularly.

Normal fines will be charged for any late returns.

The Medical Library closes at 17.00 on Friday, 21st December and re-opens after the Christmas break at on Thursday, 3rd January at 09.00. Our festive opening hours can be found on the library Opening Hours web page.

We would like to wish all the Medical Library’s patrons and readers a very happy and relaxing festive period and new year. We look forward to seeing you all back here to make the most of 2019!
