9U inter campus bus timetable for Spring 2015

9U inter campus bus The 9U inter campus bus service is provided by Stagecoach Bluebird and is open to staff, students and, on prior arrangement, visitors to the University on a first come first served basis.

This is a private service so is not open to members of the public. It is a limited stop service and will not stop between sites.

Staff and students can use the service free of charge on production of a staff/student ID card.

The buses are accessible vehicles; either low floor or fitted with a lift. If you have any queries regarding the accessibility of the service please email aberdeen.disabilityhelpdesk@stagecoachbus.com.

Improved Stagecoach Bluebird 9U inter-campus bus service

9U shuttle bus outside ARITo help accommodate spring term teaching schedules two more runs have been added to the inter-campus bus service between Monday 12 January to Friday 20 March inclusive.

The service is open to staff, students and, by prior arrangement, visitors to the University on a first come first served basis. Staff and students can use the service free of charge at point of use on production of a staff/student ID card.

  • The first additional run starts from Hillhead at 16:30, arriving at Foresterhill at 17:10 before returning via Old Aberdeen to terminate at Hillhead at 17:30.
  • The final run now starts from Hillhead at 17:40, arriving at Foresterhill at 18:00 then returning via Old Aberdeen  to terminate at Hillhead at 18:20

New Inter campus bus service

Travelling between the Foresterhill and King’s campuses? Well here’s some good news! Following consultations with various user groups over the last year a new service, operated by Stagecoach Bluebird, will begin on Monday 1 September.

  • The service will be open to staff, students and, on prior arrangement, visitors to the University on a first come first served basis.
  • Staff and students will be able to use the service free of charge at point of use on production of a staff/student ID card.
  • The service is a private service so is not open to members of the public. It is a limited stop service and will not stop between sites.

Update on Inter-Campus Bus Service 9U

The Stagecoach Bluebird service 9U between Old Aberdeen and the Foresterhill Campus will be withdrawn at the end of this month. It will continue operating until Friday 30th August.

New Timetable for Bus Service 9U

The inter-campus bus service Stagecoach Bluebird 9U is constantly being monitored and, from Monday 26 November, some minor timetable and route modifications came into effect.  These changes are designed to improve the reliability of the service.

New inter campus bus service

The new bus service (Service 9U) is provided by Stagecoach Bluebird and operates between Foresterhill, Old Aberdeen, Hillhead and the City Centre (Union Square).

The service is on commercial sized buses and is open to staff, students and members of the public. Stops are available along the route and marked by normal city bus stop signs.  There are various interchange points to access travel within Aberdeen and beyond for both business travel and commuting.

  • The service connects directly with the Union Square bus station and railway station both of which provide a wide range of onward travel.
  • The service connects to Dyce Airport via the Jet 727 service.  The interchange point is at Leslie Road/Great Northern Road.
  • The service connects to a range of services at Foresterhill via the ARI busport (Dyce, Inverurie, Newmachar, Oldmeldrum & local).
  • The service connects to a range of services at Old Aberdeen on King Street (Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Ellon, Newburgh, Pitmedden & local).
