Christmas vacation recalls

Remember to return your loans if you’re going away and will not be able to access them – make sure you check your e-mail on 17 December to avoid starting the New Year with fines! Items recalled from 17 December onwards will not be due until January.

If you want to request items, make sure you do so by Monday 16 December.

Please be aware that items may have been recalled over the vacation period – remember to check your email/library account before leaving for the holidays and at the re-start of term. 3-day-loan, 24-hr loan and Heavy Demand items will continue to be due as normal and normal fines will be charged for any late returns.

All libraries will be closed during the period 25 December to 5 January inclusive.  Details of Opening Hours during the Christmas vacation for all sites are available.

Festive Feedback

Ho ho ho!It’s Christmas time once again and as usual we have got our tree out of the cupboard. But this year there’s a difference – we want to use it to find out what you think of the Medical Library and the services we provide. It’s quite simple; you just take a paper decoration from the box beside the tree, write your feedback on it with the pen provided and then hang your decoration from one of the branches. You’ll find the tree by the issue desk opposite the entrance to the Medical Library.

What do you like about the library? What would you like to see done differently? What would make it a better place in which to study? There’s never been an easier way to share your ideas, comments and suggestions with us, so come along to the library, help us add some festive cheer to our tree and more importantly let us know what you think! Hopefully in the New Year we can use your feedback to make the library a better place for everyone.

Library Recalls over Christmas Vacation

If you require items for the end of term or vacation, they must be recalled by Monday 10th  December 2012.  Items recalled from 11th December onwards will not be due for return until the start of term (week beginning 7th  January 2013)

The IT Systems & Services work scheduled for 13th & 14th December will mean that the library systems will be unavailable on these days.  Although it will still be possible to borrow and return items, it will not be possible to check your record, so if at all possible, returning items before then would be appreciated.

Please be aware that items may have been recalled over the vacation period – remember to check your email/library account before leaving for the holidays and at the re-start of term.  3-day-loan, 24-hr loan and Heavy Demand items will continue to be due as normal and normal fines will be charged for any late returns.

Please note that during all other vacation periods all items remain subject to normal recall.
