Performance of an a cappella mash-up after the 2014 MBChB graduation at the University of Aberdeen on 11th July 2014.
Just starting at the University of Aberdeen’s Medical School? Need some help getting your head around finding books, accessing databases and using the Medical Library? Over the summer the Medical Library team have produced a few video podcasts designed to give you the information you need to locate the necessary materials for your courses. The first of these, Welcome to the Medical Library, is online now and gives a broad overview of the variety of services and resources we provide, including the different material types you can find on each floor of the library, how to use our MFDs to print, scan and photocopy, how to top up your print budget, information on loan-lengths and opening hours, a floor-by-floor guide to the Medical Library and a few basic rules to ensure that everyone gets the best use out of the facilities.
This is just the first in a series of videos which will be available very soon that cover topics such as how to find books and journals using the library catalogue or Primo, how to access medical databases and RefWorks and how to request Inter Library Loans.
Also, if you’re having trouble with RefWorks or you need help using MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHAL or any of the other online medical resources, don’t forget that our Enquiry Desk is open from 9am – 4.30pm (Monday to Friday) where our trained library staff will try and assist you with any queries you may have.
